All-Wheel Drive.
Fusion offers All-Wheel Drive as an optional feature on V6 models to provide confidence in unpredictable situations. Using a series of sophisticated sensors, Fusion’s AWD system can detect any wheel slip, then jump into action to correct the situation by shifting power to the individual wheel that has traction. Some other systems only shift power back to front or front to rear. Fusion is more discriminating. |

Exterior features include; a black chrome grille, colour keyed bezels for fog lamps, 17'' 5-spoke bright aluminium wheels. Seamlessly-welded steel sheets in the B Pillar bring added strength. The comprehensive restraint systems – found in the standard Personal Safety System™* and the standard Enhanced Safety Package – puts the Fusion at the forefront of safety technology, and because avoiding a collision is your best line of defence, Fusion has standard 4-wheel anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) for all models and electronic traction assist for all V6 models. |

Enhanced Safety Package.
The safety story for the 2007 Fusion is the Enhanced Safety Package which is now standard on all models. It adds three key embellishments to Fusion’s already impressive list of standard safety and security features. The seatback-mounted side-impact airbags help provide torso, head and chest protection for front-seat occupants in certain side impacts. Included as well is the two-row side curtain air bags, which help provide head protection for outboard occupants in the front and rear seats. To complete the package, a perimeter anti-theft alarm system detects attempts to gain illegal entry through the doors, hood or trunk, and automatically activates the headlamps, flashers and horn when triggered. |
